We are Brandon and Joseph, a loving couple based in Brooklyn and we are hoping to grow our family through adoption. We are family court certified, home-study approved, and can cover expenses as needed.
We’ve been married for over 9 years and together for over 15. We have an incredible daughter, Margot, who we adopted a little over two years ago. We are very excited to begin this next chapter of our lives as a family of four and hope to make that dream a reality through adoption. We are excited to share our life and our home full of love and laughter with our growing family.

Our story
We met in Chicago where Brandon was working in real estate. Joseph moved there after college to become a Spanish teacher and we bonded over our love of pizza, travel, and tacos. After a few years of dating, we moved to New York together so Joseph could attend graduate school. We got married in a loft in New York City after 6 years of being together and now live in a friendly neighborhood in Brooklyn, filled with families of all colors, types, and sizes.

“Joe is by far the most caring and disciplined person I have ever met. Not only does he ensure Margot and I are always taken care of, but he is incredibly driven as well. As a father, he is always looking for the next adventure to share with Margot and finds ways to make the everyday feel special. Whether its the weekly trip to the farmers market, a fun museum exhibit, or a scooter trip around a neighborhood, he loves being out and about with Margot. In his free time, his passion for cooking has grown and he is always looking for ways to expose Margot to new foods and flavors. He has an overwhelmingly warm heart, one that will only grow even larger as we hope to grow our family. “

“Brandon is the warmest and funniest person I’ve ever met. He loves to tell dad jokes and makes sure that everyone around him feels welcome and is laughing. As a dad to Margot, He is incredibly hard-working and ambitious, but always finds a way to have fun and stay light-hearted. He makes every day special for Margot and is always ready to play whatever game Margot wants. He spends the majority of his time on the floor playing make believe, bringing Margot to the neighborhood parks and splash pads, or bringing Margot to swim or soccer practice. He brings so much joy and fun to our family’s daily life.”

Meet Margot
Margot is an incredible joy and has the most infectious belly laughter. She is always ready for an adventure, whether that’s our weekly errands, to a friend’s wedding in Mexico, or to find the best playground in the city. She loves meeting new people of all ages and spending her weekends in the park playing at the splash pad. Margot is ready for everything - she’s just as happy being speed demon on the scooter and climbing the jungle gym or “cooking” a pizza in her play kitchen so she can make dinner for her babies. She will be a great and caring sibling and we can’t wait to watch her blossom even more as a big sister.

Our Adventures
We love to travel and explore different parts of the U.S. or the world. Our favorite part of traveling is trying new food, exploring different cities, spending time in nature, and seeing the world through Margot’s eyes. We have been blessed to share our love of travel with Margot and look forward to seeing our children see the world, chart their own path, and find their own adventures.

Our Love of Cooking
We bonded over our love of food and of cooking. Brandon has been cooking since childhood and loves to make savory dishes and homemade pastas. He taught Joseph a lot of what he knows in the kitchen. Joseph also likes to cook, but has a big sweet tooth, so loves to bake even more. He’s recently been baking chocolate chip cookies every month on his hunt for the best recipe. Margot also loves to join us in the kitchen and is always ready to put on her apron and help out. We love spending time and making memories with our family and friends over a warm, home-cooked meal, and look forward to many shared meals as a family of 4.

Our Families
We are very close with our extended families, including our nieces and Margot’s cousins, Harper and Molly, and our goddaughter, Aliona. Growing up in Texas, Joseph’s home was the meeting point for family and was often filled with smells of home-cooked barbecue and tex-mex meals. Brandon grew up in Michigan and spent much of his time playing sports with his brothers and cousins. Though they all don’t live in New York, we try to spend as much time together as possible and love when we can bring our families together.

Our Friends
We are incredibly lucky to have a close group of friends in New York and across the country that we consider to be family. We spend much of our time off together, exploring New York, traveling, or eating great food. We are blessed to have such a caring, supportive, and inclusive group of friends who take time to celebrate who each of us are and embrace Margot as their own. She has many extended aunts and uncles! Whether we’ve known them for over 30 years from grade school or have only met within the past 5 years, our friends fill our home and our lives with incredible warmth and joy..
